Lunch presentation: Business and Sustainability: Environmental Profit & Loss and True Prices
'Business and Sustainability: Environmental Profit & Loss and True Prices' is the title of a lecture to be delivered by Reiner Hengstmann (Global Director PUMA.Safe) on Friday November 30 from 12.00-13.45 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. True Price is a multi-stakeholder movement started in the Netherlands to identify and improve the societal impacts of products.
In November 2011, PUMA published the first Environmental Profit & Loss Account (EP&L), showing the company's impact on the environment. This unprecedented move gained Puma worldwide recognition for their efforts to change the course of global environmental degradation. Last month, Puma unveiled product level results: the product Environmental Profit and Loss Analysis and unveiled that former Puma CEO Jochen Zeitz and Virgin-founder Richard Branson will launch a coalition of a dozen companies that will reveal their EP&L in 2013. This was featured in amongst others CNN, the Financial Times, the Guardian and the Economist.
Reiner Hengstmann is responsible within Puma for developing the EP&L. His story is worth being told - and well worth listening to!
